Why Management of Change (MOC) Training Matters in Process Safety

Do participants need prior PSM or process safety knowledge to attend this course?
No formal prerequisites are required. Module 1 provides the PSM context participants need to understand where MOC fits within the broader framework. That said, participants who have attended PSM Fundamentals Training or have experience in HAZOP or risk assessment will find they can engage more deeply with the hazard evaluation modules.
Is this training relevant if our organization already has an MOC procedure in place?
Yes, and often more so. Having an MOC procedure on paper is very different from having personnel who understand how to apply it effectively. This training is designed to build the competency behind the procedure: how to recognize changes, how to conduct rigorous hazard evaluations, and how to fulfill each role in the process correctly.
